Prince: What is belief..Culture..?

Can somebody tell him what culture is and what is belief?

His family believes in the teaching of Buddhism, but he is a free thinker, with his own belief of god. He hates superstitious, but do not abandon the cultural heritage & belief which has been inherited thousand years ago.

However, being the new brat living in this new generation, he has his own thinking and he believes that human should always look at culture and belief at a different perspective, which is way from being extreme or superstitious.

His family likes to cook well-dishes to pray for ancestor, as the Chinese believes that their souls will return on this special festive for a feast, and his family, likes any other traditional Chinese family, will pray at the backyard where they believes backyard is where those unrest ghost spirit wondering around.

He has been trying hard to educate his family about the superstitious belief, and they did change a lot from the past, where they now cook less, and moderately, for praying. Somehow, they can not totally abandon the belief as this is part of the culture.

For him, he usually lights incense for prayers, this is to show his respect and his belief. He makes his prayers in church and temples, as according to how it should be, regardless of believing it or not, but this is respect the existence of the gold themselves.

Prince: Read Read Read....

Imagine yourself sitting at home, reading the whole day, and walking in and out of your room just to get some inspiration and refreshing air. Yes, this is what is going on in his life now, New Year is Exam!

He brought his study notes every where he goes. He read his note in his grandma’ place, with all children running around in front of him, and with people offering him Red Packet in a closed interval, what’s more, he was offered food and drink-non-stop from his Aunts! Somebody helps him please! He just wants a peace of mind!

Prince:Predictable New Year...

He has been leading through the New Year in the similar way for the past 25 years, and this year isn’t running anyway from his routine too. He knows what he has to do on the first day, and who will visit him, and he can even tells how much the different visitors are going to give him, and how many Red Packets he will receive for the whole new year and how much! It is pretty much predictable. Sigh! New Year won’t be anymore exciting with everything so predictable! He thinks of doing something different in New Year, perhaps next year...let’s see…

Prince: Back in Hometown...

He went back to Kedah on 26 January (Thursday). This was a tiring trip because he had to drop by Penang and Sungai Petani, to pick up his brother and some New Year presents respectively.

Let’s talk about the trip itself; he set-out from Subang, taking the GSE highway which heading straight to Rawang. Before entering the highway, he had to drive through Hicom-Glemarie, and he came across a T – junction.

Well, he had never been into a situation where decision is so much difficult to make. The sign board at the T-Junction showed, ‘Left’ –going to Ipoh, and ‘Right’ – going to Ipoh! Both are on the green color board. How on earth can a sign board be so confusing!

“Can somebody tell me which turning to take?”
“Can somebody tell me what’s wrong with Malaysia direction board?”

Well, even if you know the way through, but the sign board would just offer you some juices of thought, which at the end turn you into a direction-idiot! He turned left at last since he is a left-hander (at least he made a choice!).

He stopped by Rawang rest station (if he was not mistaken!... hmm…yeah, it was Rawang) for food, and he was amazed with the large washroom they have. Even bigger than the one at Sungai Perak! For god sake, why do they have to waste the land, building a washroom which he can see, only a few walked-in! Anyway, it is really big!

Arriving at Butterworth, he received a call and was asked to wait at the Sungai Juru rest station before hitting Penang. Well, the rest station is way too small, looking like a chalet, dimly lit through the 4 toilet bowls, and smell like shit! Yes, it smells like what he can imagine.

Anyway, it is not his business to complain about it, but just want to share what he felt. Arriving Penang, and he found nothing different since 3 years back. Penang is still a small island, highly populated and most importantly, it is HOT due to the wind blowing from the sea (don’t know what it called though). The traffic is still the same, stuck here and there, but one thing you must not forget… The Food! The only thing he likes about Penang is food, it is cheap and nice, and lot of varieties, and believe it or not, you will fall in love with it.

The he dropped by Sungai Petani the Store Supermarket where his dad works, and bought 3 Long-sleeves shirt at RM 20 each with good fabric. Amazingly, it is cheaper than he thought, comparing with Kuala Lumpur of course.
