"I gave many of my first time to my current company; my first overseas trip, my first bowling games, and so on...talking about bowling, I had my first bowling games on 16/11/2006; well, its a company event, and everyone of us had to play their best. Thanks to the games, my left-hand muscle pain is killing me! We also had our dinner at Italinos Restautant at One U (Shhh....the service is not so good though, the food is .....so so...)...

Prince: Singapore...

10/11/2006@ I was sent to SIngapore for a product survey; & come to realise how much SIngaporean dislike SIngapore...I took a cab to Hotel, & began to express my respect & appreciation to SIngapore government who are able to govern their country in such a prosperoous way, before the taxi driver started to refute my beutifully crafted thought about SIngapore; well, seems that nothing is perfect in this world. Every countries' citizen tends to glorify other countries because we like to compare...Anyhow, I still love SIngapore...." It seems that at this of the year, most hotels are fully book, no wonder my company is willing to spend an executive room for my stay...I got to enjoy the executive club services, such as siwmming pool, golf, free flow of coffee at any time of the time to hang around the club; anyway, I aint got time for that though, I've just managed to grab my breakfast...

Prince: Smart Chinese...

Smart Chinese!

A Chinese man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer.

He tells the loan officer that he is going to China on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank.

He produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Chinese for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank’s underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese returns, repays the $5,000and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says,” Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.

While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire.
What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"

The Chinese replies:
"Where else in New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks for only $15.41 and Expect it to be there when I return?"

Prince: What's Wrong with them...!

I went back hometown during Festive Season, & glad to experience many changes on my own sweet land. However, There's one thing that amaze me the most-with no change at all, are the 'flood'! I have been staying here for more than 10 years & the flood problem has been with me since then. Feeling unbearable, frustatred & hitting the max of disappointment, I crafted the letter again, channelling to all available media around town, as below...

******************************

"10 years residing in Taman Bunga Raya, has given us many good memories, but turns into a nightmare when it rains. Flood has even become a norm to us, which none is care to fight for constructive solution anymore. We would say, our frustration has put our plight under the sod.

Nothing is worse than our confidence being shattered each ‘rains’ the god has brought to us and it is even frustrating to gaze at our plight linger-on for 10 years without being addressed properly since we first lodge our grievance, and was carried by The Press in year 2004.

We have been through 10 years of difficulties, and experience the flood problem to be worsening year by year. When we first experience flood, the water level covered only the road and has never swept our house.

A year later, the water level started to surge our corridor, and we voiced our problem to the authorities. However, nothing was done, and currently, the situation is worsen as the water starts to sweep our house and flood the whole road every rains; even only drizzling!

I reproach MPKS for their inefficiency & incapability in solving our nightmare. It is axiomatic that MPKS is careless about our situation, not even when it was brought alight by the media.

I would like to highlight our problem to MPKS again, and to those who concern. It is very disappointed & frustrated to experience the inefficiency of MPKS and the related authorities.

Our residential area has suffered from Flood problem for 10 years and; promises have been made again and again by MPKS and the representatives from Alor Setar MCA department. However, we do not see any work done by both parties to solve our problem.

The flood started 10 years ago, when the first construction project took place for “Happy Garden” behind our residential area. We had highlighted our problem to the authority (MPKS) and MCA representatives, but were told to be patient, as the flood was a result from the construction project; and it will end in a month or two. Somehow, we waited, and the construction ended. But our problem was yet addressed.

We have even highlighted our problem to MCA representative during our annual ‘Ghost Festive Dinner’ and also to the committees of our Residential Hall. But nothing was heard.

When we last lodge our report that carried by press in year 2004, we were being informed of the progress of ‘water pump construction’ by the government to solve the flood issues; and yet, the problem still exist.

We surprisingly realized that we were being consoled with excuses all these while, and we can’t wait to hear the ‘solution’ again.

Excuses 1: Construction of Happy Garden
Excuses 2: Building of Pump to solve the issues
Excuses 3: ?

We have taken the courtesy to snap our plight for your review; this is the most recent flood, and I can ensure you that these pictures can be updated whenever it rains, because it will always be the same problem; the same frustration we have suffered for 10 years.

We would like to plead to the authorities, to shed light on our problem; to give us solution instead of excuses. I believe we should not foster “inefficiency” if we want to achieve “Kedah Maju 2010”.

Prince: Singapore Trips..Damn busy..

My MD decided to hand me a new product portfolio; I should be happy but I am skeptical as I have to learn Japanese Language, and start to prepare myself for 2 months training in Japan next year.

Reason being, I have not thought of my long term career in the company; taking this challenge will definitely affect my personal planning for a PhD study next year. I doubt that I have time for my study which requires a total commitment.

Anyhow, many advise me to take the challenge, as nothing is impossible. No one knows the future, but I always keep my mind clear of what I want in future.

Career & Study and learning new Language; will I be able to juggle my time for these three items…

*****************************************

Desperately need to understand Japanese language, I bought a text book from MPH cost at RM 70 (damn expensive!); Hopefully to grab the language within 6 months time, so that I have no problem to communicate in Japanese next year (or otherwise, I will be totally lost!)…

*****************************************

In midst of contemplation, yet I know I wasn’t given a choice; I was sent to Singapore for market visits & preliminary product launch meeting. When many admire me of the opportunity to go abroad; my innermost thought ‘Damn! It’s going to be a busy business trip!’

We managed to attend an important meeting in Jusco in the morning; hitting noon, we went for lunch at Jusco IchiBan Ramen, and hastened out to the airport to catch the 2pm flight to Singapore.

3pm - Arriving at Singapore; while waiting for another colleague from Japan who arrived only at 5pm, we hang around a coffee center in Changi Airport, doing our planning & tomorrow presentation.

What’s worse, I only realize that my cellular phone can’t detect the network in Singapore; meaning, I am totally out of touch with Malaysia. No matter how I change the setting, the outcome remained the same. Perhaps, I did not subscribe to GPRS? Who knows…?

6pm checking into Copestone King Hotel at Havelock road; we drop our luggage and proceed for Market Visits. We visited 5 outlets before we had our buffet dinner at Mandarin Hotel at 10.30pm.

Knowing that it was 11.30pm, we finally decided to leave when we sate our appetite for food; upon arriving hotel, one of the managers ushers us into the Hotel Pub for a drink. ‘For god sake, they just can’t get away from drink, can they?’

Anyway, I don’t even know a thing of what they were talking about; ‘Well, long way for me to have a grasp of Japanese Language though’. I couldn’t care more; giving my smiles all the while as if I understand their conversation. We finally decided to return to our own crib at 12.30pm!

Not forgetting that we got an important meeting tomorrow at 9am sharp. Wish me good luck…

***********************

We had the morning meeting until 2pm, when we were hunger for food, the managers book a table at Peach Garden, some well-known restaurant in Singapore, the lunch spent approximately 2 hours, cost at least a few hundreds and more, spent by the Singapore partners. Such a luxurious lunch was hard to experience but my Japanese manager seems to love it so much that they require returning here next around.

Singapore is so much sophisticated compare to Malaysia, though the currency conversion is a pain on my neck, especially when I converted RM 200 for only 80 Sin dollars. Anyway, who cares, the luxurious of going out with Big Boss is that they paid for everything…

A SOULFUL RELATIONSHIP - by Ronald McFadden

A good read!

An African proverb states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one eye."

Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs.

Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults isn’t really important.

Once you decide to commit to someone, over time his or her flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious. If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you've got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you.

You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths.

You are two unique individual children of God who have decided to share a life together.

Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other? Do you bring out the best in each other? Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare, and control?

What do you bring to the relationship? Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain? You can't take someone to the altar to alter him or her. You can't make someone love you or make someone stay.

If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life", you won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain. Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving and lasting relationship! Seeking status, wealth, and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship.

What keeps a relationship strong?

Communication, intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, sharing household tasks, some getaway time without business or children and daily exchanges (a meal, shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note). Leave a nice message on the voicemail or send an email.

Share common goals and interests.

Growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure. Allow your mate to have outside interests. You can't always be together. Give each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment.

Don't try to control one another.
Learn each other's family situation. Respect his or her parents regardless.
Don't put pressure on each other for material goods. Remember for richer or for poorer.

If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, and pain replace the passion.

The difference between 'United' and 'Untied' is where you put the "I"!!!!
The greatest glory of living is never falling, but in rising every time you fall ...............

Bear the extra ordinary…

Still remember those days when people tend to advise me, ‘learn from mistake’. Now I’ve realized that, ‘mistake is not the drive in the learning curve; but being scolded for mistake is’.

There must always be negative elements in the learning environment; slightly touch feeling negatively, acting as a catalyst to your mind, and then you will learn…

Most of the successful personality have a past; they took considerable hardship; accept the toughest critic, bear the unbelievable revilement, and experience extra ordinary ‘experiences’ that non dare to challenge…I feel so alike…thirty for success…

Do not have doubt on your choice…

I was sent to train local promoter today in a promoter agency. I realize how importance is it to have a good PR, and lucky enough I have managed to utilize my PR knowledge to maintain a good relationship with all my promoters, at the end, earn their respect, and the session end up happily.

A week ago when my manager requires me to devise a set of promoter evaluation form, sales target & sales commission scheme for the temporary promoters under the agency. I started to doubt it may work.

As far as I know, current promoters handling the others company brand do not perform; the root, is the people behind the brand is not performing; however, the blame is pinned on the promoters.

I had a sharing session with the agency director; I told her, it is not my idea to work out a system as I know they had their own evaluation system in place. I share with her my business philosophy which is very simple and only 3 short statements before I ended the discussion; ‘I do not doubt on the people I hire’, ‘I always struck for win-win’ & ‘trust for sacrifice’.

I provide her a solution, which is ‘laid everything on table & clear all doubt’; reason being, I can delete the agenda in my schedule – Promoter Evaluation System. And, it is better-off for both parties as well.

Benevolence – the best weapon a king must have…

Benevolent means kind, and vice versa; watching the movie series – ‘The war between Zhu & Han’ inspires me, and such inspiration does not arrive easily.

It tells me, benevolent wins every human hearts & feels. It also tells me sovereignty can kill. It also tells me, a female could turn a man’s life from one end to another. Perhaps, the only reason we have history, is to educate us to be preventive, defensive & yet also offensive…under certain circumstances…

Willingness…

‘When you plant two plants together; they will grow with their root commingle with one another, naturally.’ – Stephen Covey

Willingness becomes crucial in the learning curve; as it tells you to open our heart, it tells you to be receptive, it tells you to communicate.

Willingness moulds your heart to work on certain thing which people perceived it as determination.

Plants commingle naturally but human being could resist communicating with each others; eventually, it lays on the willingness of both parties; to let go or to hold it firmly…

Day by day…

Day passed, I sat on my bed, pondering, what I want to achieve at the end of the day. Taking a meager pay from a MNC, may not even be enough for me especially reaching month end when I start to live empty pocket.

I sat pondering, and an idea struck me from my right brain to the left. ‘Part-time lecturer’ is good, I could easily earn up to RM 250 an hours with my Master Degree. Indulging in the ideas, I am starting to dream away and wake up only when I realize that Working weekend may not be feasible especially with my current working environment, where office work has to be first priority; it would better if I recognize my company = my wife! So irony…

The Synergy…

“If a person of your intelligence and competence and commitment disagrees with me, then there must be something to your disagreement that I don’t understand, and I need to understand it. You have a perspective, a frame of reference I need to look at.” – Stephen Covey

Differences create the opportunity to synergize; yet we are trying hard to suppress the differences so that we can overcome them. Synergy will be killed in the process; people are emotionally broken, the birth of revengeful thought, and if this is what you want…do you? The doom of personal relationship…
