That night, they hang around Coffee Bean Mont Kiara, soft of chilling out after the busy week. Logas brought up a question, ‘why Asian appears to be much repellence towards MLM’. He claimed that people, who give excuses to get away from it, simply can not take failure in life. People who refrains from MLM, simply looking for a job security only, and they do not dare to take risk.

Before we go further, we need to look at a few perspectives:-

Personal Objective

Very often, human beings are suffering from what we call ‘Cognitive Bias Experience’, and this is because they are from different background and experiences which affected their personal direction and objective in life.

In layman term, different people / humans being tend to have different objective and dream, which they desire to achieve in life, not necessary in MLM. Though, you may not deny that MLM is one of the shortest ways to make money with the mere objective ‘to earn money’, but you also must not deny the fact that there are many other ways to earn money except MLM.

Choices

Since we have discuss about ‘ways to make money’, it means human have choices in life. They may not necessarily choose MLM. Some people may prefer to conduct their own business with a vision to become one of the listed companies, why not? Some people prefers to do a small business, earning 10k – 20k a months, but never think big before, why not, since 10k to 20k is almost a director salary.

Choices of sacrifice

You dream is your ‘choice to make sacrifices’, it provides you the ‘opportunity to make sacrifices’. Once you have determine to achieve your dream, you must also be ready to sacrifice something which may be so importance to you in life, and the question is, are you willing to do that? You must understand that nothing comes in perfectly. Different achievements lead to different sacrifices.

Selection to Sacrifice

Selection to sacrifice means what you choose / prefer to sacrifice something for something which you deem as importance for you. Two simple question which he always questioned, ‘can you / are you willing to sacrifice your family time and friendship just the sake of earning more money?’, secondly, ‘Can you / are you willing to sacrifice you integrity and principle to earn money?’ Once you have the answer for yourself, then you must ask yourself to what extent you are willing to make sacrifices.

Objective Oriented

If you happen to attend MLM seminar, you may see them, keep imparting the value which ‘Money is important’, or ‘live a life without worry about money’ or ‘Elite lifestyle’. Somehow, it is all about money. It would be good, if they can slot in an element of humanity, the least, people will not become materialized. A person who has only ‘money’ in mind is dangerous because they do not see anything in life as important except money, and they will become even more dangerous if they do not know about ‘contentment’.

Perspective Questions

A few question rises from the discussion earlier on:

(1) ‘Should your friend support you in achieving your dream?’

Yes, but to what extent, and if you are talking about sacrificing friendship, and it may be deemed as the end of one friendship.

(2) ‘I can go out with them again, chilling out and catch up with them when I am successful’

Well, you may have a different group of friend at the particular time because your thinking is different. As well as your status, and these all will affect ones thinking. You may become stuck up, arrogant and snobbish, even if you may not think so, but to others, they may perceive you in such a character. Why? It is because you sacrifice them and pop-up only when you are successful, they may consider you as showing off, could that be?

(3) ‘What about Integrity and Principles?’

An example, the fact that every one of us, or a big portion of Asian have experience a situation where they are being buzzed by those MLM / Salesman, even if rejection may have shown to them.

This creates annoyance, and sometime irritating because those MLM / Salesman use tricks to Psycho to get a sale. No one knows why those MLM / Sale people behaves in such a way, but it is known as the fact that getting into sales means ‘persistency and consistency’, in layman term, Stubborn and Sticky.

That explains why Asian is quite repellent to MLM, because they embrace a factual perception on those people. If you don’t care how people perceive you, then there should be no problem for you to become one of them.

A real life example of choices

One of his relative, living in Alor Setar, went into fish-ball business, and after years of business operation, now, he has become a millionaire. Previously, his friend introduces him Amway product, and trying best to get him into it, but he just doesn’t feel right about it. He refused to join but do not refrain consuming the product.

He has made his choice. Later, he went into fish-ball manufacturing, a business of his own, and now a millionaire, earning million a month. His life is worriless, leaving his business to his staff and going anywhere as he likes to. If you compare, there is not much different to those into MLM.
That is choices.
