Prince: The Devil's Advocate...
The inspiration he got from the movie- ‘Devil Advocate’; it is an impactful one; he learns that the basic of morality itself should originate from a person’s thought; or else, in whatever situation, sin will call for you.
In the movie, Keanu Reeves is acting as Kevin Lomax, a winning lawyer; while, Al Pacino is acting as John Milton, who offers Kevin an enormous sum of money to come to New York to help the firm with a trial.
“Subsequently Kevin accepts an offer to leave Florida for good and join the firm as a partner. The firm's chairman, John Milton, a highly charismatic and influential man, becomes Lomax's mentor, pushing him towards arrogance and greed.
The story climaxes as John Milton is found to be the devil and Kevin Lomax his son. Milton dismisses the Biblical information that indicates that the Devil will lose Armageddon, and wants Lomax to join him and fellow law partner Christabella Andreoli, who turns out to be Lomax's sister, in a familial union that requires him to produce the Antichrist with Andreoli. Lomax rejects his heritage when he commits suicide and ends Milton's plans.
Lomax is then returned to the past, at the moment when, in the small Florida town, he is mulling over his options while in the courtroom bathroom before successfully defending the aforementioned child molester. It is revealed that the movie had been a flash of conscience for Lomax or, as a more interesting possibility, an even most elaborate mind-game of manipulation played on him by the devil (who confesses repeatedly during the movie that vanity is his favorite sin). Lomax asks to be taken off the case, causing an outrage, and walks off with his wife as they are being followed by reporters. One of them convinces him to be interviewed on the news the following morning. After Lomax walks away, the reporter is revealed to be Milton, who turns to the camera, grins knowingly, and says: "Vanity...definitely my favorite sin."
The devil preyed on him again; his arrogance and greed… “Vanity…definitely my favorite sin…”If only he would have understood himself, that arrogance and greed are dangerous; the devil shall find no room for his favourite sin…

Prince: Sharing with the Eldest...
“Once the elder told me, ‘you can read a person character through his/her answer; you can read a person thought through his/her reaction because it is reflection of a person personality’ They also told me that human are vulnerable creatures, mentality and psychologically. As long as you are able to put them in a situation; a game where you play along to find the last puzzle; you will be able to understand them.” Prince related his experience.
“There are many other ways which you may adopt in your approach to understand a person character. You can scold a person test his patience, compliment a person to test his degree of arrogance, comment/ criticise a person to see if they are receptive or self-centre. Of course, you can read more than that. Their reaction is what you read to understand them.”
‘Why are you commenting and discussing the issue, and hinted him in the process?’
‘Different people have different strength of pillar of personality, and it depends on what you want to see; if you would like to test their degree of arrogance, you give them over-heated compliment, and their reaction can tell. While if you want to see how wrong can a person be, then you have to hit the pillar in order to shake it. Their reaction will tell you their thought, and from there, you allow the crowd to judge. You will be able to know if he is receptive or self-centre; and of course, many more will reflect from their reaction.’
‘Reaction from your comment, compliment or greeting, is what you can see from a person, in order to understand thoroughly what type of human they are.’

Prince: The Decision...
The war between armed revolts and country A, while, the country B, the General is indecisive…
‘The rebel forces are marching toward the city A from the west, while, our troops are residing at the east of the country A; we still have time to gather our soldiers, and march towards our neighbour; However, if the rebel forces take the first mover advantage, they will succeed, and overthrow the king.’ said the Advisor.
‘The King killed my father, though my heart full of hatred and grudge, urging me to revenge, but if the rebel forces overtake us; the country will fall into the hand of the different nation, suffering the pain of their mistreatment.’, said the General perplexedly, and continued, ‘my father’s vision is to run the country in total efficiency in so that the citizen live prosperously; if it falls into the hand of rebel forces, my father soul will not rest well; seeing his dream crushed in the hand of others; should I then help the king now?’ asked the General.
‘Revenge is personal grudge; ‘offering’ is for the citizen of the country; only if you are willing to give up your revenge, then the citizen will share your victory at the end; However, the final decision is rest on your hand as you are the General of our troops, we act upon your command.’ said the Advisor.
‘If I, only care, and I shall only focus on my revenge, the citizen will suffer due to my act. I shall then become the notorious General ever in the history, where everyone shall spit on me, curse me, and disavow me. I shall rise for my dignity and integrity, clear of my personal and public affairs, be fair and square and impartial in my decision, shall then, I gain my respect. Let’s fight for the war, rise for the king at this moment, call for the troops now!’ The General shouted.

Prince: Email from someone ...
He met up with his friend, a marketing director at mid thirties. She asked him when he wants to achieve his ‘million’, ‘35 year-old perhaps’, he answered with some doubt.
Day after that he received a replied email from her, sharing her thought about achievement and dream. She was mentioning about the society, that rich people not necessary highly educated, while, highly educated people are not necessary rich. She has got a point, and has actually enlightened him, but this, has actually gone through his thought before. He replied the email as below…
“Thanks a lot for your input, it is, of course, enlightened me on my thought.
Yes, you are right that my immediate goal is to get a good paying job, while continue with my PhD study.
Frankly, I have never given up on my dream to achieve my first million / billion. Age, certainly is not a problem for me, where else, if I couldn’t make my million at the age of 35, I don’t mind making it only at the age of 45. The duration is not my concern but the sustainability is the most important.
Well, I have read the most successful person in the society, yes, of course, some has a degree from Harvard / reputable Univerity; some of them not even a SPM leaver. This is the dilemma in our society, creating imbalance distribution of knowledge, and it is not under our control though.
Most graduate, stop being aggressive, or I would say, the graph of aggressiveness going downhill as the higher qualification they obtain. They do not dare to dream, instead they only look for job security, and intend to lead only a normal life.
As for me, I always believe that a person must be dare to dream, and also aggressive, persistent and patient in pursuing their dream, yet also be passion in what they do. Qualification is what we need to enter the society, and it also means knowledge, if it is well-applied in whatever we are doing, it may bring efficiency, sustainability and core competency, or perhaps more.
There are many categories of businesses in the world, leading to different thought and beliefs. Some company believes the theory of ‘expanding before investing’, while, some believes in ‘investing before expanding’, if I raise this question to you, which one would you prefer?
Personally, I prefer to invest before expand. We are talking about knowledge worker in the society nowadays. Managing knowledge workers need distinctive leadership, and it does not only relate to IT workers, but also those knowledgeable workers graduated from reputable University. In order for a company to step onto the competitive arena, they need human capital, and that, we mean knowledge-worker.
While, personality has also became one important factor. A company can not guarantee their recruitment of the ‘right people’. They may be knowledgeable, but incorrect match of personality, such as staff that has no commitment; will lead to high turn over. Thus, managing knowledge workers also mean cultivating the right value to foster the right personality in them, and it can only make possible through company culture, unfortunately, not many companies realise the important of company culture, and also, the method to foster and create the right culture.
Study is just a process in my life, to enable myself to step onto the arena, perhaps, a higher one. Education is mainly a process that enhanced your knowledge, most importantly, it shapes your thought about the world, cultivating in you-the right personality; and looking at the big pictures.
It is my first priority, coming to my second priority is to work as hard as possible, and learns as much as I could within the process- in my study and work. The question of whether I can achieve my million at my dreamt age is still in doubt. However, I don’t mind achieving it later in my life though. I always believe as long as I maintain the right thinking and personality, then nothing is impossible. I like to share, tell me about your thought, looking forward for your input.”

Prince: Action-Reflection-Personality-Thought
“Change is important for a person, but sudden change can become a disaster. I confronted a friend of mine, who has been pursuing for a change in his personality, has finally change in quite a sudden. Everyone around him perceived the change as too aggressive, extreme and anti-social, but for him, it is unique.
“Week ago, I had to call him for an urgent issue, he was unreachable, thus, I sent him a few messages through ‘Short-Message-System’ (SMS); yet no response from him. Leaving me no choice, but to send him a few messages through Yahoo Massager, hoping that he may receive the message and reply (He online mostly at work); unfortunately, I receive no reply as well.” Prince commented, and added-on grinningly, “Such a busy person, do not even has a minute to reply a message; I assume he must has been working for 24 hours a day for the past whole week!”
“Without a clue of contacting him, I finally reached up for his younger brother, as I believe he has the ‘Big B’ tendency in the family, where he will start to question if anything that his younger brother knows but he doesn’t, and of course, his younger brother will pass the message to him. True enough, he called to ask why he doesn’t know about the matter. Guess he has to retrospect on his own behaviour…” Prince sighed with frustration and disappointment.
Prince went on and said, “Still remember, when thing starts to go wrong, presumably thing started to change in him. Since then, he has adopted an indifferent behaviour towards anything that happens among his friends. Perhaps, he believes that in order to change, he has to isolate himself from those friends; yet he has done it ‘not’ tactful enough which hurt many around him, burgeoning his ‘arrogant’ personality, which he carries along with him.”
“His article which carries an anti-social element was written with certain degree of hatred toward his surrounding. We can sense the degree of inferiority, hatred, and the degree of flaming desire to become a unique person is tumbling in his mind.” Prince explained tactfully.
“At such a vulnerable stage, a person will usually being carried away by their circumstance, obviously, we have to forgive him for such an innocent feels driven by the circumstance, coupled with his vulnerable personality.” Prince urged with degree of sympathy. “It is similar to children abused by parents, suffering an impact on their personality-formation”.
“They met up again two days ago, unfortunately, I can’t join the session. Disregard of his hatred and his extreme article about hanging out at night, at last, he still managed to come out. He had also articulated his intention not to club but this reminded me about the birthday party weeks ago; when we club at bar flame. At this junction, I would believe he has understood the meaning of ‘extreme’ and ‘flexible’, similarly, I would also believe that he has understood the pillar of personality is somehow the most important focus for change.” Prince hoped for the best.
“However, on what I heard from my friends, he is still the same as previous hang-out, showing arrogance look which he thought is unique. Unfortunately, it is hard to accept a fake personality. Whenever you answer a question to him, he will give you a grin; hinting ‘despise’ and ‘sarcasms’, they do not feel comfortable with it. I can imagine that kind of facial expression similar to the previous hang-out session. It doesn’t command respect from the peers, but it create self-arrogant in the person himself.”
“All that I can foresee in future to arrive, shall he become a wealthy person in future, and he shall be arrogant as he can be, to indicate his achievement to others, indirectly or directly. This, of course, can help to boast his self-achievement. I must say, this type of behaviour is possible by judging at his current personality.” Prince related. "Poor little fellow, we all wonder; is he in depression stage or what...sigh...as friend, we will, still lend our hands whenever he needs help- as we have decided to forgive him..for it is not his will to be what he is 'being' now..."
Food for thought…
Sometimes it is hard for us to understand our mistake, we need people to pin-point, while we must embrace an open-mind toward criticism, and change accordingly. There is no reason to be stubborn, and upset of people’s critic, if you are in that position, then you may not be able to improve.
Every session with Cath and Sim, I will ask them if there’s anything wrong with me, shall there be any room for change, and they should voice it out to me so that I can change accordingly for the best.
I asked my wifey last two days ago before I slept, “Is there anything you want to talk to me? Is there anything that you feel dissatisfied with me that you want me to change?”
She said I am very stubborn sometimes, “you will not see, talk or even listen to the person you feel ‘fed-up’ with for quite sometimes” she said.
Yes, it is true, when I fed-up with someone, I would prefer not to see that person for some time to avoid further conflict, as I know I am a straight forward person, and I would pin-point the mistake straight away without giving much ‘face’, and that is bad if I confronted the person. That is why I prefer to stay quiet by not confronting the person. However, months back, I realised that this is not a good solution, so I have decided that ‘not confronting’ the person will only help me to cool down first, and then I will confront the person to articulate my thought. In this case, it will soften the approach which may be better.
She also said that I am naggish, well, I am trying my best not to be, as this is actually my New Year resolution I made in front of Sim and Cath at Station One! Yes, I still remember that…
