Prince: Why always Accusation...

The month of October yet to end and the second issue appears in the office which he does not please at all. Somehow, he has to swallow the dissatisfaction, and treats it as ‘none-exist’.

The issue was track back to previous week when he has to work on Sunday. That day, he went back early because he was not feeling well, he told his superior and was approved for his early-release. Simultaneously, his HR executive was asking for early-release as well, because her car involved in an accident. On that morning itself, the account executive came in late. All three incidents have given others a perception that they were not committed.

In the following week, they had a weekly meeting, and approaching the end of the meeting, one of his superiors voiced out to Uncle that the corporate committees were not committed to company activities. Uncle asked for the reason, and the name of the particular person. The principals added on that she saw it personally, one of the committees came in late, her statement aggravated the situation (it was the account executive, due to some personal matter, and reason was believe to be justified already).

He felt shock for this remark, as they knew that they were committed, or otherwise, will not take the initiative to work on Sunday. As far as he is concerned, all the early-releases were properly informed the superior, and approvals were given.

The HR executive and Account Executive realized of this accusation, and confronted the principal; somehow, the principal pointed the finger to PR & Marketing Department, and reassured them that it has nothing to do with HR and Account Department. She restated that the issue is related to PR & Marketing Department only.

As far as he knows, PR & Marketing Department has only 3 staffs, the superior, him, and a graphic designer. If the superior voiced it out, then of course, he must have pointed it either to him or the designer. The fact is that his own superior approached him earlier on, to reassure him that the issue was not related to him because he has informed the superior about his early-release…

After some enquiries, he found out that one of the superior told the management that his early-release was not properly informed, and was deemed as not committed to company activities.

Again, he was stunned as everything was properly told and hand-over. He knows that there is nothing he can do to prove his innocence since email communication wasn’t encouraged in the confined office environment (as his manager has mentioned before). He wonders what else he can do…

He thinks through a few times, and realized that he was in the middle of the office politic now, unconsciously, he was the victim of the political war. He doesn’t know who is right and who is wrong, and he doesn’t want to find out who make the accusation, as he believes, as long as he stands to his own ground, and ensure his responsibilities are properly executed, then the truth will reveal eventually…may god bless him…
