He went back to Kedah on 26 January (Thursday). This was a tiring trip because he had to drop by Penang and Sungai Petani, to pick up his brother and some New Year presents respectively.
Let’s talk about the trip itself; he set-out from Subang, taking the GSE highway which heading straight to Rawang. Before entering the highway, he had to drive through Hicom-Glemarie, and he came across a T – junction.
Well, he had never been into a situation where decision is so much difficult to make. The sign board at the T-Junction showed, ‘Left’ –going to Ipoh, and ‘Right’ – going to Ipoh! Both are on the green color board. How on earth can a sign board be so confusing!
“Can somebody tell me which turning to take?”
“Can somebody tell me what’s wrong with Malaysia direction board?”
Well, even if you know the way through, but the sign board would just offer you some juices of thought, which at the end turn you into a direction-idiot! He turned left at last since he is a left-hander (at least he made a choice!).
He stopped by Rawang rest station (if he was not mistaken!... hmm…yeah, it was Rawang) for food, and he was amazed with the large washroom they have. Even bigger than the one at Sungai Perak! For god sake, why do they have to waste the land, building a washroom which he can see, only a few walked-in! Anyway, it is really big!
Arriving at Butterworth, he received a call and was asked to wait at the Sungai Juru rest station before hitting Penang. Well, the rest station is way too small, looking like a chalet, dimly lit through the 4 toilet bowls, and smell like shit! Yes, it smells like what he can imagine.
Anyway, it is not his business to complain about it, but just want to share what he felt. Arriving Penang, and he found nothing different since 3 years back. Penang is still a small island, highly populated and most importantly, it is HOT due to the wind blowing from the sea (don’t know what it called though). The traffic is still the same, stuck here and there, but one thing you must not forget… The Food! The only thing he likes about Penang is food, it is cheap and nice, and lot of varieties, and believe it or not, you will fall in love with it.
The he dropped by Sungai Petani the Store Supermarket where his dad works, and bought 3 Long-sleeves shirt at RM 20 each with good fabric. Amazingly, it is cheaper than he thought, comparing with Kuala Lumpur of course.
