Prince: The UnCle...

His wifey reminded him about his thesis proposal, and he started to read through some research papers in so that he can have some ideas of the research methodology. Juggling with his work and study; it is obvious that it isn’t going to be easy. He recalled what his Uncle has told him before; this uncle was a friend of his dad, he called him by Uncle ‘Mi’ (Mi in mandarin is ‘rice’). Uncle Mi asked him about his plan after MBA.

Prince tentatively voiced out his intention to take up PhD, and his concern about his busyness in work; and it is going to be tough. Uncle Mi then assured him that nothing is easy in life, and Uncle Mi also stated that it depends if he wants to take up the challenge.

About Uncle Mi…

Uncle Mi is a best friend of his dad, who has been quite successful at the age of 45. Uncle Mi was under the same family situation as prince’s dad, they both grew up together, but taking a different path.

He is a mechanical graduate in diploma from polytechnic Malaysia, since then, he realized that his qualification was not match with market need, but, trouble with family financial constraint; he wasn’t able to continue his degree study.

He decided to work his way up in the corporate world, and learned through experience. During that time, skill worker was very demanding in the market, and experience worker tends to hide their skill from newbie in so to protect their position in a company. Going through much tribulation, he learned through observation, self-study and self-experimenting.

He climbed the corporate ladder step by step, and his previous job paid him about RM 8000 a month before he was head hunted by a company who paid him double his previous salary. He is now working in Kelana Jaya, in one of the petroleum company…

As he was a high-rank mechanical engineer in his previous company, he was required to manoeuvre helicopter, travelling to the oil station on weekly basis, and sometimes, he had to reside a long period at the site to ensure proper maintenance of the drilling machine.

All his skills are learned through a tough route during the first quarter of his life. He always tells prince that nothing is easy in life, and he has seen prince grows up, since then, he really wishes to see prince become someone in future.

Who doesn’t want a career that can earn RM 16k a month, with good fringe benefit, profit sharing and entitlement for good bonus scheme? Of course, to hope so the best, prince realizes that he has to take up the challenge and climbs through steps…time isn’t a matter at all since Uncle Mi has been a real life idol for him…
