Prince: Responsibility & Commitment...

How do you define responsibility and commitment in life? The two words could have meant more than what it defines in dictionary if you ponder deeply. Responsibility and commitment play their roles almost in every facet of our lives. It lays in our love relationship, family, friends, works and affiliation, and it depend on how we enhance and strengthen it, in so that it creates the balance. Can you ignore these two words, and deny its influence in your life? He believes it is impossible. Once it screws up in one molecule of your life, it actually screws up every facet of your life as well.

He met a friend of him who got this little problem in work. He signed a letter of offer from a new company, and later regretted of his action, and thinking of pulling back. All he could say is, once it was signed, it bonds you for what you have done. You have put yourself in a situation where your faith is in doubt. Below are a few statements of excuse his friend has given:

When was asked if his friend likes the new job offer, his friend paused for a little while and said, ‘I like the offer, and I love the company’ – What excuses can you give to yourself again then.

‘I paused for a little while you see’, his friend claimed. – Then why are you looking for a job and signed it at the first place.

‘Everyone in my company is leaving’ - You may have been carried away by your environment or what the new company got to offer but, if you don’t want the job then you shouldn’t have signed the letter of offer, not even take the chance to look for a new job!

‘I don’t know why I sign it at the first place’- a statement of irresponsible for your action, and shouldn’t have said it at the first place.

‘I don’t know what to do now’- a statement that is not going to find you a solution.

‘My company does not allow me to go’ – The problem may have been solved if you are being transparent to tell them you have signed the letter of offer, and if only you dump your letter of resignation.

‘My current company always comes first in my priority’ – It will affect your credibility, and reflection of your irresponsibility, don’t forget your signature is in the letter, and for what you have promised and said in the interview, there’s no where you can run away from your responsibility. No one can stop you as it is your right, and it is your work!

A solution is needed for your problem and you should be thinking of it now with given timeframe, not to run away from it by giving excuses. Excuses will not cover your mistake, and it is not fair to either parties.

Even if it is in relationship, you need to think twice before doing it. If you are in doubt then you should have cut it off by being more transparent to the party before engaging yourself. Once you have got into it, then there are no excuses for your action. Any other excuses are just a shown of your irresponsibility and non-commitment. You must remember that hurting people is a live-long bruises; emotional is something can not be cured as it lays in the memory forever. It hurt each others in the process and affected others parties. It is like signing the letter of offer, but not showing up for the work. It affected your credibility at workplace…

:) the same can be said about you my friend. always remember that before giving an advice to someone its better to think whether you youself is in a position to give advice in the first place or not~

You have a very nice lil article which seems to be having its point. Contract, bound by whats signed, why take the job in the first place, unanswerable questions that leads to irresponsibility....hahaha....

Hav you ever wondered how many companies you have been through....
:)...

Big Brother wants you to ponder on one statement " Its easier said then to live it....its easier said than done....if it was as simple as how you have concluded then life is really SIMPLE.But the fact is life is not~ welcome to reality~"

You must have perceived my article a little bit wrongly in the sense that you deviate the meaning of what it supposes to bring. The main point to make is to enlighten the person- 'not to run away from problem', but 'to find solution'. The number of companies you have been through does not bring any impact on "what the person have done, where his 'will' of changing the job" has pervaded. Similarly, if he doesn't have the interest in joining the company, then do not look for 'THE' company, going against his own will...Also remember that, once you have take up the job, then fulfilling your responsiblity is a need, it doesn't matter if you are not happy working there after a month or two, but fulfilling your responsiblity is what you should be doing. It is equal to saying 'getting a solution' before a person was allowed to say 'can not solve".
