He went through the interview, and do not deny that he is a bit cracked up during the process. Well, he was not informed that the company CEO is going to interview him, coming all the way from United State!
He was asked, ‘how do you consider yourself as someone who are people oriented? We are dealing with employees who earn through commission, and may have high rate of absenteeism, how would you manage them?’
He answered, ‘Every mistake will have a reason, and every problem will have a solution. It is very much depending on the attitude of the leaders himself. I believe that as a leader, you need to posses certain characters, which are passion and patient. There got to be a reason why they didn’t turn up for work, and we must work from the bottom to dig out the solution’.
The CEO then asked him, ‘why do you want to take up this job, since you are in PR & marketing line, it looks totally different from your portfolio’.
His replied, ‘It is very much attributed to my character. I am a risk-takers, and I prefer to join a newly set-up company than an establish company which gives me no career opportunities. Furthermore, I am looking for a career jump.’
He added, ‘talking about managing people, you must believe and understand that different people has a different background, and their attitude toward their works, all you need to do is to spend sometime to understand them and help them to adapt to the environment, and help them as and when they needs help, that’s my philosophy in working with people to ensure we all work as a team’.
Unfortunately, the interview session only took around 15 minutes, the CEO seems unprepared. Only a few questions were asked, and it is a question mark whether they will recruit him or not. For him, he feels a bit shaky.
