Different people define leadership differently, due to their own cognitive experience. Apparently, He has his own definition by looking at the way he was led and managed. We have soft leadership skills, compulsive leadership skills, and what we call a good leadership skill which is a mixture of both. There are a few characteristic of a good leadership must have in common, and there are a few skills which a leader must possess as well.
1. A leader must be responsible for what they said and do.
2. A leader must be able to communicate well with subordinate
3. A leader must know when to step into an argument
4. A leader must be able to teach their subordinate with passion and patient
5. A leader must be able to stand by the subordinate mistake, and help them to correct it
6. A leader must be able to delegate responsibility and make their staff complete their job task on time.
A leader must be able to be a bridge between the top management and the lower management, while maintaining a good relationship. This is when truth, integrity and principles become important to avoid what we called ‘two-heads snake’. And, what he called a ‘bad’ leader are those…
1. A leader who does not admit own mistake
2. A leader who tends to be stubborn and persistent on something which all deems as mistake
3. A leader who plays ‘two-heads snake’ game in office
4. A leader who does no stand by your side when there’s a problem
5. A leader who shouts at you on your mistake
6. A leader who run away from mistake and push the blame on you either indirectly or directly
And the list goes on and on…
