Prince:Ancient History...

That night hanging out in Seri Kembangan with Fion, Kevin, Foong Peng and Siew Ci, had allowed prince to recall what he had read since young about China ancient history about war, it reminded prince about Zhu Geliang, Liu Bei, Chang Fei & Guan Di, when Siew Ci literally said that she liked to read China ancient history.

When reading a history, it requires you to look into the meaning and understanding the underlying moral value in order to widen your thought and wisdom. Prince still remember the scene whereby, Guan Di was killed because of his arrogance that the enemy troops will not be able to engage his own troop, but eventually he fell into the trap and die under the thousand arrows from enemy. Prince ponders deeply, and realizes how the word arrogance can destroy a person; even a life can be sacrifice.

The story not yet ends in this way, Liu Bei, as the king of his kingdom, lost his best comrade. He called for a revenge and raised a troop of hundred of thousand, to declare a war against Country Wei (if prince still remember vividly). Zhu Geliang was then an adviser for Liu Bei, realized that it is not the time to declare war against country Wei since the troop had just been defeated. But Zhu Geliang did not voice out his view to Liu Bei, instead, he allowed Liu Bei on his decision.

One of the general asked Zhu Geliang, ‘Why aren’t you stop our king from the war?’, Zhu Geliang said, ‘At this moment, when our king was carried away by the vengeance of the moment, he will not take any advice from us anymore, any additional words against his will, will be treated as committing a treason’.

Prince, again, thought deeply, and realized the fact that, it is true when someone was too much indulge with his own perspective, such as in relationship, when the old one said, love is blind because they are too indulging into a relationship that halt them from thinking properly.

Liu Bei with his troop walked against their enemy, he set his tent at a location whereby his enemy can easily cut his water supply, and set fire against his troop. Zhu Geliang received the location map where Liu Bei set his tent, and surprised by Liu Bei ignorant about the strategy and location, quickly, he sent a soldier to advise Liu Bei to change his position against his enemy, but Liu Bei was too arrogant to take his advice. Zhu Geliang was very sad because he knew the consequences.

The next day, Liu Bei soldier shouted, ‘Fire’, by the time Liu Bei realized his own mistake, half of the troop was burnt to death, and was killed by their enemy, As a result from that, Liu Bei had to retreat, and it caused the country to take a defensive approach for a few years before they can start to raise a war against others. Prince learns a great deal about the story, whereby, arrogance can destroy a person, and when you are being carried away by the moment, no advice you can accept, except your own view.
